Turf requires regular fertilization to thrive. We use golf course-quality fertilizers designed to provide consistent results.

If weeds are present we will spot apply weed controls as necessary. There is no need to apply a chemical across the entire lawn if you just have a dandelion or two in the backyard. It's part of our environmentally friendly approach-- better for you and your lawn!

LAWN 1 – EARLY SPRING
Premium Balanced fertilizer contains all the basic nutrients required for a healthy lawn including nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and sulfur, plus essential micronutrients required for a healthy, vigorous lawn. We also apply a special pre-emergent crabgrass preventative that will help control potential crabgrass outbreaks later in the growing season plus any broadleaf weed control that is needed.

LAWN 2 - LATE SPRING
Just as your lawn is gearing up for the stresses of summer, we apply a balanced premium fertilizer that contains nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, sulfur, and additional micronutrients. In addition to this, we apply a two part insect control that will control and prevent grubs and chinch bugs in your lawn for an entire season. We will also apply a broadleaf weed control as needed at this time.

GUARANTEED GRUB PROOFING
Specially timed application of Allectus targets the larvae of the grub when they are most susceptible and before they can cause extensive damage to your lawn later in the season. This application is guaranteed to prevent grubs from infesting your lawn for the rest of the growing season. If you had grub damaged brown spots in your lawn last fall, the odds favor you'll have more grub damage again this fall unless you take corrective action at the right time. Grubs are a persistent insect and not easily controlled. It takes the right application at the right time to be effective. Lawn Pro will make sure your lawn is protected.

LAWN 3 - SUMMER
Another application of our balanced slow release fertilizer to insure that your lawn can withstand the stresses often associated with summer. At this time, we will also treat for any spot weeds or crabgrass that may have emerged due to summer heat and drought.

LAWN 4 - FALL
As the big fall growing season begins, we make sure your lawn has all of the balanced premium fertilizer it will need to produce a healthy lawn that will look better, stay green longer and green up faster next year. Our special fertilizers will contain all of the basic fertilizer elements including nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, sulfur, and special micronutrients so essential for a healthy lawn.

LAWN 5 – LATE FALL
Fall is the best time to make a dramatic improvement in your lawn that will carry over to the next year. We make sure your lawn gets the proper nutrients using our premium fertilizers that promote deep root growth and improved winter hardiness. A Lawn Pro fall application means faster green-up to your healthy lawn next year. As per Suffolk County regulations, we will not apply any nitrogen to lawns after November 1 to reduce nitrogen runoff into the groundwater.

LAWN 6 - LIME
Balanced blend of Magnesium and Calcium improves soil conditions and balances pH levels. By correcting acidic soil conditions, turf grasses absorb more vital nutrients, creating healthier, thicker lawns so weeds are less likely to thrive, making the fertilization plan more effective. You get a lush, thick lawn with few weeds.

Each visit includes a visual inspection of your lawn. Each visit we provide a detailed analysis of your lawn, identifying problem areas that may need attention. Our highly trained technicians may spot treat for weeds and insects at their discretion, taking into account lawn and weather conditions.
